Story
Long ago, the world flourished. People made use of their natural magic abilities to create much of what they needed to survive. The world was full of simple people who wanted nothing more than to live in peace.
But slowly, year after year, unrest began to seep its way into the world. As people flourished so did the conflict between them. Magic that could be used for practicality began to find use in curses and destruction. The potential for its use in war could not be ignored. People began to use their gifts to give way to horrors.
Until the world itself began to fall apart.
It was decided that this magic and all like it would need to be taken away in order to ensure their survival. Four Gates were constructed which would keep it all sealed. This would ensure their safety. All magic ability, all mythical creatures, all the wonders of the worlds were locked behind these gates and forgotten to time.
The Starseed gives these souls a chance for a new beginning. Do they seek the gates and use their power to restore this broken world? Do they restore the stars? Do they try and harness the long-forgotten destructive power for their own? Do they use their own judgement to improve the lives of others? Or maybe something else?
Only one thing is for certain: the darkness within the Ebony Sea swells day after day. As more Starseeds awaken, it's inky black shores seem to swell in anticipation of swallowing them.
